How to we Prevent them

Eliminate wood in contact with the ground. Termite problems often occur when wood components of the building are in direct contact with soil. Do not let moisture accumulate near the foundation. Termites are attracted to moisture and are more likely to infest if the soil next to the foundation is consistently moist. Reduce moisture and humidity in crawl spaces.

Never store firewood or wood debris against foundations or inside crawlspaces. Firewood, lumber, cardboard boxes, newspapers, and similar materials attract termites and provide a source of food. Avoid direct contact of loose soil in building exterior wall and ideally an appron of atleast 1 to 1.5 feet should be made to avoid direct soil contact to wall.

Treatment Options

The Major species which is causing maximum economic damage are subterranean termite and they enter the foundation through soil hence, DIY options are not feasible and also spot treatment are not effective as treating the source is necessary to manage termites. Mainly two types of treatment available which are done for Post constructed structures or a Pre-construction site. Post construction service Involves drilling of Wall and floor Junction in a distance of every one-foot post which chemical is poured and sealed finally. This creates a continuous chemical barrier along wall ensuring elimination of termites within and around the structure.

Pre-Construction treatment involves 3 stages where the soil is directly treated along flooring, wall and floor junction and finally the external perimeter. This creates a comprehensive barrier between the structure and soil for termite which is hard to invade. Post Construction treatment comes with 6 Years Warranty and Pre-construction treatment comes with 11 years warranty.
